On the day of 28 August 2015, Dr. Dee Aker Director of Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice USA along with Kararepresentative of the same organization in Myanmar visited the Raksha Nepal (RN).
Dr. Dee is a very well wisher of the RN and does not miss to approach the organization in her every visit to Nepal in spite of her busiest schedule. This time she were travelling to other destination and Nepal was the transit during her journey. However, she remembered the Raksha Nepal and provided a short time for the RN. The RN team is highly indebted to her.
The visit was made very memorable event by the children of Raksha Nepal. The children themselves introduced with the visitors sang songs and interacted very heartily with Dr. Dee and Kara
When the children finished their program then Chairperson of the RN Ms. Menuka Thapa interacted with the visitors, shared her experiences and also informed about the activities of the RN. During the time, Dr Dee excitedly and seriously listened the activities of the RN. Later on, all the Raksha staffs joined the meeting.
There was an hour long interaction and discussion among the visitors and the staffs. The team members thanked Dr Dee for her visit and also expressed that such types of meetings and interactions should be continued in future also.
Dr. Dee as a senior expert and an experienced rights activist explained and informed about the ongoing situations throughout the world and also very much appreciated the Raksha Nepal’s work. She thanked the chairperson of the RN and also wished for the continuous progress of the organization. Finally, there was a photo session program.
To sum up, Raksha Nepal is proud of Dr Dee and her work. The RN highly wants to congratulate such International personalities for their visits. Similarly, the RN also hopes for their continuous love, care, support and assistance in the days to come ahead.
