Raksha Nepal (RN) is a humanitarian organization, which has been working for the sexually exploited girls, women and their children since its establishment in 2004. Its main target is to protect those women and young girls working in the so-called informal entertainment sectors (massage parlors, dance bars and cabin restaurants) from trafficking and sexual violence by enhancing their knowledge, awareness and socio-economic status. Similarly, in the mission of making girls and women free of sexual exploitation, Raksha Nepal is involved and advocates “to make the society free of compulsive prostitution."

In solidarity to 16 day Campaign of Violence against Women (25 Nov- 10 December 2015), Raksha Nepal participated in four different programs of Kathmandu. The first program was organized by Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) on the auspicious International Day for elimination of violence against women (25 November 2015). It was a special discussion forum on Challenges and Opportunities under New Constitution for Elimination of Violence against Women in Nepal.

Similarly, Raksha Nepal participated at a workshop in Dhulikhel. Women Act an NGO had organized two days residential program in Dhulikhel from November 30 to December 1 2015. The program was an awareness and training program relating to violence against women and five women staffs from Raksha Nepal had actively participated. Likewise, the Raksha Nepal also participated in the magna meet that was organized in an auspicious day of 67th International Human Rights day. The 2015 international Human Rights Day celebration was concentrated on women rights. There was a human rights national magna meet 2015 in Nepal Academy on the day of 9th December 2015.

There was also a talk program by women activists involved in the political and social fields on the changing atmosphere of women movements in Nepal on the day of 9th December 2015. LOOM, an NGO had organized the program in Kathmandu. There were about 50 participants in this talk program; most of them were youths from colleges, different organizations, researcher and other NGOs. Anita and Somaya, participated from Raksha Nepal.

To sum up, Raksha Nepal is always ready and wants to join the hands together with likeminded organizations to eliminate all kinds of discrimination and violence against women and girls from Nepal.Certainly, these types of awareness programs would be a solid contribution towards women empowerment and the Raksha Nepal wants to participate in these sorts of creatvie campaings.
