Did not want to live being own Dad's wife

Painful Story of a girl raped by own father and grandfather. The girl is being kept at Raksha Nepal Shelter, Kathmandu. The Raksha Nepal Chairman Menuka Thapa stressed on the need for severe punishment to the culprit and justice for mentally victimized girl.

KAVRE, Nepal: A girl has revealed after 8 years that she became rape victim from own father and grandfather. The fact came into light after the 18-year-old girl residing in Panauti-2 Subbagaon filed for FIR report in District Police Office with detailed sequence of events. Based on the report, the police arrested 47-year-old father Prakash karki while 73 year old grandfather Indrabahadur committed suicide. The girl remembers the event before 6 years ago at age of 13, when her father raped her when there was no one at home intimidating and threatening her.

Not being able to handle the rape assaults, the victim took a pesticide as poison meant for vegetables in jungle of dhulikhel after revealing all details to a friend and fainted. When she woke up, she found herself at hospital bed and later reported the incident to police to fight for justice. Police is investigating the case after taking permission from the court.

The girl remembers the moment when she was 10 years old and her grandfather raped her as her father was working in Macau. Later when she was 13 , her father indiscriminately forcefully raped her by tearing apart her clothes and she kept on weeping. Similarly she was raped, given medicine and it continued for years. The girl's mother did not want to make the incident public because of the family reputation issues. The girl says her father must be hanged till death. She hopes to get full justice.

With the help and support of Kavre Police, the girl dared to make the continuous rape by her father and grandfather public and appeals everyone to abide by her side so she gets justice.
