No one knows the extent of the sex industry’s reach in Kathmandu

This cannot be accomplished alone, and will require active networking with other organizations that abhor this exploitation as much as we do.

Nikisha is an orphan.  At age 12, her stepmother sold her to pay her bill to the liquor store.  After the owner of the shop had raped her, she ran away to Kathmandu.  A woman who found her took her to a massage parlor, where she worked for one year.  Raksha Nepal rescued her and sent her to 5th grade.  A yoga class built up her self-confidence.  After a year, Raksha returned her to her village where her grandparents took her in.  She is now studying in 8th grade and doing well in school.
